Westhaven Commercial District Announces New Tenants

Westhaven’s Town Center, the commercial district adjoining the Westhaven community, is emerging from a steady pace in 2009 to one of rapid growth and expansion in 2010, according to Paul Neuroth, Southern Land Company’s SVP of Leasing. Southern Land is Westhaven and Town Center’s developer.
In a year marked by economic recession and continued job loss, the Williamson County neighborhoods with the most real estate sales in 2009 were the big ones with diverse price points: Westhaven, McKay's Mill and Fieldstone Farms.
The new Harris Teeter grocery store in Westhaven Town Center opens today with a 5:30 p.m. ribbon-cutting. The 48,000-square-foot store will employ more than 95 associates with daily hours from 6 a.m. to midnight.
"Taste of Teeter" will immediately follow the ribbon-cutting, in which shoppers will be able to sample a wide variety of products available at Harris Teeter, including Farmers Market produce, Fishermans Market shrimp and Fresh Foods Market deli and bakery items.
Harris Teeter will continue to host grand opening events during its first three weekends.

FRANKLIN — A dogleg right on a par-4 hole is the first challenge golfers face after teeing off at Williamson County's newest course.
The Westhaven Golf Club, which features an 18-hole course on 200 acres, opened Saturday in Franklin.

Westhaven, a Southern Land Company community located on Highway 96 West, has named Chris Cauthen to the position of Head Golf Professional for the Westhaven Golf Club (www.golfwesthaven.com). In addition, Southern Land has named Jerry Craven to the position of Superintendent, and Melonee Hurt as the club’s Membership Director.

Windstone will be hosting a fall Kitchen & Bath Tour October 25 and 26.
The tour will feature five beautiful new homes and the focus will be on the kitchens and bath designs. All proceeds will be given to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
The times are Saturday, Oct. 25 from 10:00am to 4:00pm and Sunday, October 26 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
Tickets are $10/Adult and $5/child ages 5-12 and can be purchased the days of the event at the entrance to Windstone.
Participating builders are Classic Design Homes, Davis Properties of Tennessee, Ford Custom Classic Homes and SLC Homebuilding.
Kitchens and baths will be decorated by Marcia Knight, Connie Vernich, B. Wilker Designs, Bella Linea, Atlas Interiors, Lee Shacklock Interior Designs, Design Gallery and SLC Homebuilding.
