Andrea Conte will lead a 3-mile walk on Saturday, November 1st in the Franklin community of Westhaven, to benefit the Williamson County Child Advocacy Center (WCCAC), an organization that serves abused children. Conte, the First Lady of Tennessee, is a long-time supporter of Child Advocacy Centers. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. and the walk begins at 9:00 a.m. The registration fee is $35 and $5 for children age 12 or under. A family registration is also available for $60.
The music industry officially announced its $95 million senior living center project, The Crescendo at Westhaven, to the community on Tuesday morning.
The Crescendo will be the first senior living community owned by the music industry, but be open to all adults age 62 and older. The project has been an 18-year dream of the music industry, which wanted a way to take care of its own in their retirement years.
The center will sit on 15 acres in Westhaven's town center in Franklin.
The Westhaven community on Highway 96 West will host its inaugural green market and open house tour Saturday.
Attendees to the green market can expect to see live music, electric vehicle demonstrations, organic food vendors, crafts for kids and horticulture displays.
Martina McBride helped unveil plans for a $95 million senior living community south of Nashville, designed to provide a welcoming home for aging members of the music industry.
"Residents can still contribute music, make music, record music and perform music here and that's very unique," McBride told PEOPLE on Wednesday at the launch of The Crescendo, a community of 180 independent living condos and a nursing facility that will feature a recording studio and a performance hall.
County Mayor Rogers Anderson joked that it's the kind of development county leaders like to see because it will generate tax revenue and won't require additional schools.

What's proposed is a $95 million, nonprofit senior living community to be built in the Franklin subdivision of Westhaven. The facility, which could be completed by 2013, would be called The Crescendo at Westhaven. Apartments would be priced between $300,000 and $650,000.
